All supplies will be on hand and provided by the business. You will not have to bring paint, rags, sponges or brushes. They should also have easels with drop cloths beneath already set up and ready to go upon your arrival. Don't wear your best clothing - old clothes or a comfortable smock would be the best items to wear while painting
One or more instructors will be on hand to lead the participants through the steps of the art project. They will remain with the group to assist with questions or challenges. They may make suggestions to improve the outcome of the project. Often the entire class will make the same kind of painting in their own personal manner but sometimes students will be encouraged to come up with their own original designs. Whatever the case, each individual work comes out uniquely and creatively different.
Children are usually not part of these activities. Usually there is an age limit of 16 or 18 but sometimes it has to be set at 21 because of the alcohol served. Specific programs are often held just for the younger set. This is perfect for summer camp groups, home schooled students, daycare excursions or church youth groups. A play group would really benefit from this type of activity.
Invite all of your artistic or adventurous friends to come with you. This is a fun event for birthdays, a girls' night out, a singles gathering or a bachelorette party. Use it as a company team building exercise or as a special activity for a church group.
Even if you are not artistically inclined or feel that you are not capable of creating anything of value, the guidance provided by the staff and the camaraderie of the other participants will make this a fun and relaxing outlet for your creativity. Bring your masterpiece home and hang it in a place of honor as a reminder of the special event and your great efforts at an artistic endeavor.
